Yup. I think Roy was a total closet case actually.

I think the whole gay bar scene and then Roy's instigating of the physical flirtation with that poor queer was an indication of this. It's not like they were just try to rip him off.

I disagree, Roy was not gay, the whole movie was the serial killer theme, remember the intro? Roy wanted to join the USMC only to kill... He was just a psycho, luring the gay guy gave him a chance just to simply kill again.
