songs from movie

Where and how can I get the songs from this soundtrack from the movie?

reply

I'd be interested to know this aswell, I've been looking for years but have had no luck

There is no soundtrack album for this movie so the songs must be bought separately. Some songs are hard to find as they are only available on out-of-print vinyl. Also, the score for the movie (e.g. the music that plays during the closing credits) doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Although it could probably be ripped from the DVD of the movie.

The songs can be found on the following albums:

Iggy Pop - Kill City (available on CD)
The Cramps - Smell of Female (available on CD)
Chequered Past - Chequered Past (available on CD)
Tex and the Horseheads - Tex and the Horseheads (vinyl only)
Code Blue - Code Blue (vinyl only)
Code Blue - True Story (vinyl only)
Great White - Face the Day EP (vinyl only)

So that covers the songs - does anyone know anything about the score?

Just an update on this. 3 of the 4 songs by Code Blue can be gotten on CD after all. The CD is a limited edition release by Rhino Records. The CD includes the songs "The Need", "Face to Face" and "Spellbound" from the movie

Unfortunately, it does not include "Is That So Strange". The only album that I know of that has this song is the True Story album by Code Blue which is OOP and vinyl only.

Does anybody know the name of the song that is played during the scene when Roy attacks Chris the homosexual?

reply

That would be "Clean the Dirt" by Tex and the Horseheads.

I am looking for this song too. God! Why is so hard to find it??

It's not that hard to find the Tex and the Horseheads album. They turn up regularly on ebay. Vinyl only though.

Do you know the gas station attack song?

The instrumental song @about 21 minutes into the movie, when they are traveling on the highway. This is my favorite song in the movie, does anyone know the name of it?

I think it's "Spellbound" by Code Blue (see doyle's posts earlier in this thread). You can check out a sound sample here:

[EDIT: "The Need" (also by Code Blue) is played about a minute prior, so that might be the song you mean. It starts just before the 20-minute mark. You can check out a sound sample at the same link above.]
