does anyone thing eric could control wind rather than fly? i'm pretty sure he made the kite fly after milly gave him the hug for keeping her safe from the baseball.

The movie is lacking in explanations, if anything. It could be anything from a "Tempest" - like control of the elements, controling the density of the air on a molecular level to keep him and others bouyant, or maybe he's an autistic Peter Pan, come from and returning to Neverland. Maybe he wasn't autistic at all, but just interacted when he thought it important to do so. Only the writers no for sure....
