Based on a True Story? Found information online
I do not know this website if it is a true resource or not/if the information is credible
http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/The_Boy_Who_Could_Fly
The website states:
The movie was in fact based on a true story. No one questioned the fact that it wasn’t based on a true story, since the boy, Eric Gibb, could fly.
The entire story was brought together from recollections from Louis Deakin's memory. Louis Deakin was Amelia Deakin's younger brother, who as an adult, was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia.
The website goes on in greater detail about how the mother was actually an alcoholic who beat Louis on a regular basis, that Louis always had trouble growing up and that the dog died protecting him from the mothers beating.
This writing gives details from the script that were supposedly pulled from real life and then painted with a better brush than the reality. Does anyone else know if this is true?
In real life, supposedly after Eric and Milly flew and landed, Milly died from her injuries. Eric died two days later in the hospital.
The real life uncle does die from alcoholism over the loss of his nephew and Louis ends up murdering the bullies around the corner. Eventually the mother kills herself. And Louis ends up in prison in Ohio.
Honesty, I don't know what to believe but I was so depressed after reading this (although I always thought this movie was depressing anyway)
Just wanted to share and hope someone else can shed light on this.
