Would Eric have gone back to Milly?
I always make up this story in my head that he would have come back to her later on perhaps in her mid twenties - enter sappy romance.
shareI know it's been 7 years since you posted your message, but....I'd like to think they found each other after growing up. Like, maybe he showed up at her college and they rekindled their romance. I think that sounds nice :).

In the end, when Milly is twisting the ring around her finger.... it seems like she realizes that Eric giving her the ring was a kind of promise. I think they did eventually find each other!
