One thing that jumped out at me was how a plot detail near the end involved the inheritance laws of the state of Florida. Out of nowhere they suddenly announce that Paul was a legal resident of Florida and that affects what can be done with his will. These laws also played a prominent part in BODY HEAT.

Good catch. I didn't recall that plot detail while watching BW last night. Haven't seen BH in years, though -- I suppose that's a good enough excuse 
