Why did the Wing Kong run in the alley fight?
The Three Storms show up and the Wing Kong get frightened and run back with the Chang Sing.
Why wouldnt they just form up behind the storms since they are all on the same side.

Looked like the three storms had it covered so its not like they were needed at that point.
Who says violence is not the answer?
If I remember right, The Three Storms start attacking BOTH. It's possible since the Wing Kong gangs are just lowly henchmen for LoPan, he considers them expendable. The Three Storms are doing his bidding, so they could care less about humans either.
shareI kind of thought that but I still thought it was odd. I mean, the Wing Kong and the Storms worked together at the Wing Kong Exchange. The Wing Kong were at the wedding but in the fight in the beginning the Storms killed anyone and everyone and I seem to recall a couple of Wing Kong characters firing guns at the Storms
shareHey Sean,
Good point! It's been a while since I've seen the movie. But you are right in the fact the Wing Kong are at the wedding.
I went back and re-watched the scene where the 3 storms appear. Turns out ONLY the Chang Sing (yellow turbans) fire guns. The Wing Kong are just standing there. Also when the storms throw the knives and kill the 3 guys, they're all yellow turbans as well. Jack Burton then drives his truck and from there out you only see a little bit of fighting in the background. So maybe the Wing Kong ran off once the storms started fighting.
Good observation though. After watching the movie more times than I can count over the last 20+ years, I've never really thought about that.
Incorect. The 3 storms only attacked the good guys. As for why the Wing Kong ran back was probably due to the shock from the realization that their crimeboss David Lo Pan was indeed a supernatural evil to be reckoned with.
