This was actually a good film. VERY under-rated at the time. I'm not even a sports follower and I enjoyed this film. It is character driven...

A good film. 'nuff said.

This movie was run of the mill. Nothing more nothing less. But to classify it as the worst is over the top. You are selling to many movies short (oxymoron?) that were much worse. IE: Jaws 3d, Jaws 4: The Revenge, Flywheel, Facing Giants, Glitter, Honey, Dick Tracey, Howard the Duck, etc etc etc.

Nonsense! This film doesn't even make the top twenty for stupidity, not as long as vomit like "The Blair Witch Project" is still being shown. I find BOT to be an engaging little farce with some nice performances. No, it ain't "Lawrence of Arabia," but it doesn't need to be. Probably part of the problem is that it appeals to people who are about the same age as the characters, nearing midlife crises and starting to daydream about what might have been.

What a great Saturday afternoon movie. Whoever does not like this is an idiot. What's not to like. A great rivalry from two high schools in the middle of nowhere. Awesome, funny and remember, "Yeah, we're afraid, we're afraid your gonna drop the ball".

I agree..this is a great farce, underplayed comedy..who doesn't appreciate the scenne where the ex's are over for dinner...but we can't miss any of the MNF game...even if the two teams playing stink....IT'S FOOTBALLLLL!!!!

This movie was great, I've seen it a dozen times and it never gets old. It's the type of movie where you find yourself repeating lines years after you saw it. Best movie ever? Probably not, but a highly under rated movie for sure.
