AAAACK! This movie is horrible, but available OnDemand.

I almost rented this on Comcast OnDemand (It's available for $2.99 under the Holiday Movies section right now), having confused it with the original version. Thankfully I remembered that there was an imposter starring Drew Barrymore. I was only 8 years old when it aired on TV and I remember being so dissapointed that I turned it off 15 minutes into it and never watched it again. And as an 8 year old boy who's first ever going-to-the-movie-theater experience was seeing the first run of E.T., I was a HUGE fan of Drew Barrymore at the time, so I REALLY wanted it to be good. But I had seen the original version of Babes In Toyland with Annette Funnicello a year or two before the 80s version arired and it was one of my favorite movies, so maybe I was biased going into it. Yet I'm not entirely sure how an 8 year old can be too extremely biased, so maybe the interest that I didn't have in watching it goes to show how awful this version actually was. So, I can certainly appreciate nostalgia and the memories that were created by certain situations, but this version still looks HORRIBLE. Just some thoughts from me and an opportunity to let people who actually HAVE an interest in watching it know that it's available OnDemand if you have Comcast.
