This film is so under appreciated. It's one of my favorites of all time.

I agree and I dont know why either. I guess you have to have a creepy father like me to really appreciate it.

I dig this flick on every level. Everything about it... every step it takes. Personnel, sound, music... everything was perfect when it was made. Everything. Every single thing.

I would echo the other sentiments on this thread. A 6.8/10 imdb score would ordinarily rank a film as average. To call this film average though is a bit of a travesty. There are a number of good performances and the Live to Tell score is memorable. I would just say to anyone who was thinking of watching this film please don't rely on the rating. It's an irrelevancy here.

Great movie, My now wife and I saw it on our first date back in May of 86. One of Penn's finest!!

I just watched it again, it holds up well with today's movie of the same genre. It was very well shot, and has a great score.
