This movie is so funny!!!
One of my favorites for sure.
I have changed my opinion of this movie. I was 16 when i saw this at the drive in as a double feature one night with my cousins back in 86 and was completely unamused. Ive even bad mouthed it here somewhere in the last couple of years. Although i really dont remember paying much attention to it. I just saw it on Encore and couldnt believe how funny it actually was. I was actually interested in the story. Lots of 80s cheese but thats what made 80s movies great. Sad.. They dont make movies like this anymore.
shareLucky to grow up in 70's, Blazing Saddles, Caddyshack, Vacation, Abimal House etc. now in our new exciting politically correct country, making a comedy next to impossible. I think " Someting about Mary" the last I've seen and surprised they got away with the
whole retarded brother jokes. Really sux

There were bad parts but it was awesome growing up in that period. Music great, no social media so u went to bars with live music to meet people, no AIDS, no parents being involved in sports etc. really feel bad for kids today. Movies like Almost Famous, Heaven Help Us, and Dazed and Confused capture much of what life was like. Less materialism, more fun. Grabbing a six pack and meeting your friends after your crappy job was awesome.

shareIndeed it is very funny.
shareWhile I don't rank it among one of John Candy's very best films I still enjoyed watching it as I thought he and Eugene Levy were great together as the security guards.
I give this film an 8/10
