Big question...

There is a movie i remember from years ago but cant remember the name of and it reminded me of An American Tail, so I looked on Don Bluth's page and Steven Spielbergs and i was sure they had something to do with this movie but i guess not, but what I'd like to know is if anybody knows the name of this movie or remembers it:

Its about some little creatures from the forest like a mouse wearing overalls (name like Sarah or Abigail) and a hedgehog that wears a backpack (has a name like Russell) and maybe a couple more characters, and they go on a search for something outside the forest or get lost and at the end build some kind of flying machine out of leaves and twigs, i just couldnt remember the name, if anybody remembers a movie like this please help me out its been bugging me for a couple of months now...

Please and Thankyou x

That would be "Once Upon a Forest." Here's the link to the IMDB page for it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107745/

BTW, I forget the title of that movie all the time as well, so you're definitely not alone.

That movie was from Hanna-Barbera. There WAS a connection to An American Tail; co-producer David Kirschner produced it as well.

Ah, Once Upon A Forest. Underrated little gem from 1993. Unfortunately another victim of the "Let's-not-bother-putting-this-in-widescreen-format-on-DVD-'cause-it's-a-movie-for-kids-who-are-still-potty-trained" theory that studios seem to have. ;)

On a totally different topic, is it just me or does anyone think these boards could use some smilies/emoticons to liven up the posts a bit?

Unfortunately, you are yet another member of the "let's all watch movies that are very tiny but have an insignificant addition of scenery to the sides that we'll never bother to look at except for the cognitive dissonance we'll feel about having purchased a movie in widescreen".

It angers and frustrates me to no end to know that people are willing to have huge black bars at the bottom and top, with a small strip of imagery in the center, JUST so that they'll see a tiny bit extra on the sides. Why? WHYYYY?!?! NO ONE CARES! I want my movie to be as big as the whole screen! Agh!
