Most Underrated Movie of All Time
Does anyone agree?
shareI know what you're talking about...not so much the ratings as it seems to have been "forgotten". Or it kind of seems that way. Even though it was a Big Movie when I was a kid, you don't really ever hear a peep of it now. It's not really hyped up like Disney movies are, and it's too bad. (You know, every few years there's a re-release of one of the "Classics" on dvd, or vhs back in the day).
I need to see it again. I only just thought of this movie because I found a hat at World Market that made me think of Fievel when I tried it on. Almost got the hat just for that reason.

your right
it has been forgotten
i used to love this movie as a kid
but somewhere whilst i was growing up, the movie disappeared
and i had all these memories of it
but could never remember the name
then i saw the dvd yesterday at the video shop
and i got so exited coz it all came back
but nobody else had ever heard of it(or remembered)
You're absolutely right! This movie deserves 7.5 or more.
shareI totally agree that it is underrated/forgotten. I myself have never heard of this movie until tonight, when my friend and I saw a video on youtube of a little girl singing Somewhere Out There for America's Got Talent, and he mentioned it was in a movie. Well, I looked it up online and watched it, and being a Russian immigrant it was really touching, and Fievel is SO cute!!

I agree, i saw this movie in theaters back in 1986 when i was 4 and i loved it! i even loved it's suprisingly good and funny sequel in theaters as well.

It just seems silly that other old animated movies such as Snow White and Alice in Wonderland will always been remembered, when an amazing movie will a real deep meaning, like this and The Brave Little Toaster (a personal favorite), is left in the past. I wasn't even born when this came out but I remember being obsessed with it.

I liked Ratatouille, but like I said with Fantasia, I did like American Tail more, merely because Don Bluth along with Disney and Studio Ghibli has done some of my favourites, and American Tail is such a tearjerker.

How can it be overratted? There's only one rat in the entire movie!
Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.
Damn right.

I wouldn't say it's underrated since it was such a commercial success when it was first release, but I do feel it's seemingly forgotten
