I have vivid memories of seeing a trailer or ad for Aliens on tv in Europe where they showed a scene in the colony. In this scene one of the colonists (supposedly Newt's father) is supported by two others and goes down with a chest buster, which would have been the first time they saw what the alien does.
At this point I'm assuming I must have completely made this scene up because I can't find a reference to this anywhere.
I like to see the extended Mandela Effect version one day.

There are added scenes showing the colony and newts father with a facehugger, but not of any chestbursters.
I joined the Navy to see the world, only to discover the world is 2/3 water!
Only IF additional scenes has been truely been changed as doesn't reflect our old Earth no more.
