As soon as Ripley is found and brought back to Earth, *beep* hits the fan and they need her to help out. Did the 'company' arrange this accordingly or is it just a big coincidence?

In the special edition it's made clear that Burke, after hearing Ripley's story, then ordered the colonists to find and investigate the alien ship.

Yes, but as soon as Ripley is back, the xenomorphs start atacking, no?

Yes, but because of Ripley's intel of the derelict ship as provided to the colony through Burke.

When this baby hits 88 mph, you're going to see some serious sh!t.

Burke makes a formal order to investigate the ship, so a couple and their kids go there instead of marines/scientists? That doesn't make a lick of sense.
