Really Cut it to Shreds!

I will probably have to rent the DVD or wait till it comes on HBO or Encore or something. I was really surprised how the TV station who aired it really cut it so badly, I am not talking about the nudity that were in a few scenes I am talking about scenes that were not sexual or graphic or not allowed on regular television.

For example there is a real cute scene where Joan is teaching her kids in class and it was so funny and real and it showed Joan's "soft-side" being so nice and tender with the kids, one who had a "bathroom accident" and she was so kind about it, I am surprised they cut that out, that was such a cute funny scene in the movie, also, the scene in the bar where Bernie and Joan were, without Danny and Debbie after the break-up, and the bartender did a toast to Danny and Debbie and Bernie and Joan looked very humilated and upset, because they knew they were partially responsible for the breakup, and the Thanksgiving scene was cut too shreds too, about ten minutes worth!! And none of these scenes were nudity or foul language or anything else that might be offensive, thats what I don't understand??

I like this movie but the station who aired it really ruined it, try to see the original if you can, much better and funnier!
