That's what it says up above. Dr. Badofsky wrote this. Well-rounded writer I'd say.

He ADAPTED the screenplay based on a play.

So most of the snappy interesting dialog, and the overall story aren't his, but rather David Mamet's - who is an incredible and well-rounded writer

Yeah, and he appeared in the film too. He was also a writer on SNL as well as a performer.
