There's a ton of Stingray DVDs on eBay. Do a search under DVDs for it -- I got a whole page of results back.
shareThis show is not on DVD. The ones you generally find on Ebay are from the Gary Anderson puppet show Stringray.

I just saw that it was "coming soon" as a legit DVD release advertised inside the new Season 2 of Hardcastle&McCormick DVD along with Street Justice, Riptide & Cobra....other great Stephen J Cannell series that you will definately like if you enjoy Stingray ~ b.b.

I knew that H&M and Riptide were getting the dvd treatment... had hoped that eventually Stingray might get out there as well, but didn't hold out too much hope due to the low # of eps made, not too popular mainstreamwise... but I still remember reading a tv guide interview with Cannell a few years back and was happy to see that in his response to "which series have you done that you felt never really got a chance to get going and be as successful as most of your other works" and Stingray was one of his answers.
I thought that if he felt so good about that series that he might muscle its way onto dvd eventually... but if it's being advertised in inserts for those releases, goodie :)
Does anyone have any information when Stingray might be showing up on DVD. This year perhaps. If not soon, any current leads on purchasing them. Was the version on EBAY a vcr to DVD transfer??
shareI emailed the Stephen J cannell web site and they said that Stingray was pencild in for a late 2006 release. I know riptode is due out at the end of september so could be within next couple of months.

Riptide, Stingray, Hardcastle & McCormick are all scheduled to be released before the end of this year. Also Riptide is being released in Canada in August.

This is a response i most recently received from them:
Just received word from VEI and their tentative schedule for next year is to release 2nd season of Riptide, then Stingray (which I had no info. on previously) and then the 3rd season of Hardcastle. As soon as we have concrete dates, we will post them to the site. VEI is sometimes late in letting us know the release dates and they change often.
