I can stand Michael Phillips, but...

A.O. Scott was trying too hard, trying to be funny and all that was just bothering me. But, I also just plain don't like him. Thoughts?

I didn't like him at first when he was guest hosting for Roeper, but I've warmed up to him now. He's very intelligent and really knows his *beep*

reply

I think he's been trying a little too hard these first few weeks, which is understandable for the new hosts. I liked him better when he subbed for Ebert; he seemed to be more beeing himself then. I gander he'll settle into that rhythm soon enough.

reply

He isn't too bad, but I think the way this show is, maybe since they can't have Roger on TV anymore, maybe just put this show to bed. Or do Roeper and Phillips, which was fine. I don't know why the Disney pricks stopped that.

A.O. Scott comes off as a holier than thou, hipster. EVERYTIME.

In the case of 2 month old Alisha, Brian, YOU ARE THE FATHER

reply

He is horribly self-satisfied and annoying. He should just stick to playing PC in the mac commercials.

When you're slapped you'll take it and like it.

reply

I take it you're joking (as PC is played by John Hodgman)?

reply

I dunno Dellish, am I?
