It's official! Canceled in 2010.
After 35 years, At The Movies will end in August 2010.
shareJust heard about it while looking at Roger Ebert's page on here. It was in the news relations. Well, it should've ended when they decided not to keep Richard Roeper after 2008. Maybe he and Roger will revive it. Wonder how Roger feels about it?

Just read it. Thank you. Actually, when I posted my question, I looked at Roger's blog and didn't see anything. I guess he hadn't finished it yet. If I had looked today, I would've seen it. But thank you anyway for answering.
shareDAMn, that sucks.
And why? It can't be all that expensive. How much does it cost to film two guys sitting in seats talking about movies?
He can NOT be a part of me! Batman does NOT eat nachos!!

I never really watched it, but I always wondered, what made the original two yahoos qualified to judge movies?

Maybe you shouldn't be allowed to be a critic/judge until you've proven you are the best. Oscar winners judge movies (there's quite a few whose careers tanked after the Oscar that could use a job!). Can't judge figure skating unless you've won the gold (or maybe your coach/choreographer should get to judge then!), etc.

A-holes canceled this show.

They can't cancel this show! I'd have to actually look reviews up. I don't wanna do that. Phillips and Scott are awesome...ahhh..man.... somebody front the money to Disney so they can keep this show running! Please!
shareHope they'll review Despicable Me before the caning starts.
Well at lest need there best & worst of 2010 for a special.
Since I heard about the cancellation for next month, and I was never all that crazy about A.O. Scott and Michael Phillips, I stopped watching. Let's preserve our most precious and fondest memories of Siskel and Ebert all over YouTube. Where would be now without that wonderful website?
