'Real Ghostbusters' animated movie?

I've loved RGB since I was a kid and I wonder if they ever considered an animated big-screen movie? It's got to be easier than getting the guys back together in live-action, LOL.

I'd honestly prefer this to Ghostbusters 3 honestly.

Only if J. Michael Straczynski wrote it.

Depends if you're keen on Dave Coulier doing the voice and whether they could get Arsenio Hall back since Buster Jones is dead.

Dan Ackroyd should have a hand in it too.

I don't see why Hall wouldn't return to Winston. His career has been deader than most of the Ghostbuster's enemies. At this point he should be willing to do it for a ham sandwich. Of course if he didn't Ernie Hudson himself should be considered. He was willing to voice Winston when the show started

While I wouldn't have the Jr Ghostbusters make an appearance, Id give an offhand mention that they were manning a branch franchise in Los Angeles. Maybe mention the Extreme GB team doing the same in Milwaukee. Just a couple harmless nods to continuity

Perhaps have a new team of recruits, consisting of

Oscar Barrett
Lawrence Tully (Louis' formerly bratty nephew who wanted to be a GB like Louis)
Egon's niece (Mentioned in the GB video game
That one boy who wanted to be a Ghostbuster in that one ep who kept getting bullied

Peter and the boys aren't retiring from Ghostbusting per se, they're just heading up the overall organization. But they WILL show up and lend a hand when a situation requires it.

I was thinking about this too. The Transformers, My Little Pony, Carebears and GI Joe cartoons all had animated movies at the time and many other animated shows had feature length/straight to VHS specials. I was surprised RGB didnt get one at the time.

It would be pretty cool if they managed to do one now though.

Real Ghostbusters had Prime Time showings of the Halloween episodes so that's something.
