What was the deal with the animation on the episode Hanging By A Thread?

On the episode "Hanging By A Thread" I do notice the animation was less colorful and cheaply made, it is very noticable in most of the episode, especially on the scenes with the Brooklyn Bridge and the underworld scenes

The show was still in its prime during the time the episode was released.

Syndicated episodes mean one episode Mon - Fri. So some episodes will look better than others. Having just seen clips from the episode right now it doesn't look that bad.

I've thought the animation was at its worse during the Brooklyn Bridge scene and when they recover the shears from the demon in the Underworld (just look at the demons chasing after the GB's in that scene).

Yeah they had to animate a lot of episodes.
