why is this soundtrack cassette/CD so hard to find???

Does anyone have any idea where to find a copy of this soundtrack to the (cartoon) TV series? I've checked everywhere online and have been looking for YEARS but no copies seem to be out there :( Was this only sold in very limited quantities back in the day? Or was it EVER sold in stores even? I see VHS video tapes with episodes all the time, but I'm looking for the actual MUSIC soundtrack, with those fun cheesy pop songs from the music group called "Tahiti" (made up of Tonya Townsend & Tyren Perry). I'd be willing to pay a nice price, if anyone has an extra copy (new or used) of the Real Ghostbusters soundtrack that they'd be willing to sell! Why don't you just download it? I know that's a legally gray area but considering it was obscure I don't see any issues with doing this.

Because I want the actual ITEM to hold in my hands and gloat over *lol* Yes, I download plenty of things, especially when they're not available to buy. But this has gotta be the real thing or nothing. Although if someone did have the tracks in lossless wav/flac format (not mp3) I'd be very interested :) You must not have the mind of a collector I take it? :p

Yeah I'm a collector but never felt the need to own this. Try ebay.

One step ahead of you there :) It hasn't appeared for sale on eBay for several years I'm afraid. What I did was set up a "saved search" on eBay for the keywords "Ghostbusters" "tape" and "soundtrack" so that I'll get an automatic notifcation email the day someone lists an item for sale, matching those search terms. It hasn't happened yet. Closest I came was some overseas seller listing it for sale on Amazon, whereupon I ordered it immediately, and it never showed up (I suspect they realized how rare it was and resold it to someone else). I ended up getting a refund from Amazon and left them a scathing negative review though *lol* My dream is one day finding this in a pawn shop or flea market or something, sorting through old tapes & CD's, and there it is, still sealed, in mint condition!! AAAUUUGGGHHHH!! *lol* Oh well, I can dream.

bloody hell that's pricey! dang :( too rich for my blood unfortunately....but it's nice to see at least ONE copy for sale! hopefully more will follow :p thanks for the post - good eye!
