It's ok

I watched a couple of episodes back in the day, and decided to watch the entire thing. Just finished it.

Seasons 1-3 were the best, and from season 4 to the end the show really took a dive. It was replete with the same repetitiveness with different scenarios with Larry screwing up, and Balki saving the day, or somehow things working out in the end.

Mark and Bronson work exceptionally well together. Some of the best chemistry between characters in any show. The character of Jennifer is nothing special, however loved Mary Anne. She was great. When Bronson was playing other characters, besides Balki, he was great. He is a great actor. Also liked Mr. Gorpley. He was fun to watch.

This is a really funny show, with some lovely moments, however the repetition is just too much. The studio audience's constant "Awww" at tender moments, was also very annoying.

Seasons 5-8 are incredible slog to get through.

Glad I watched it, but won't re-visit it.

I've been catching the show on Pluto recently. You are definitely right about the first 3 seasons being the best and the show becoming more and more unwatchable from season 5 onwards. Repitition is a problem, but another big problem is that the plots became more absurd and the characters like caricatures. I was never a fan of all the Myposian stuff, the best episodes were the ones that focused on every day storylines and their camaraderie (it's amazing to see the actors' chemistry from the get-go). And I know, those reflective scenes at the end were too corny, you could guess when the sentimental music would start.

I might catch a few episodes again in 15 years or something, but definitely not any of the later ones.

Thanks for your thoughts.

5 was fine, nothing great, but 6 and 7 were a chore to get through. At least 8 was short.
