Reboot this, not Full House

A modern Odd Couples see Larry's son & Balki's son living in Denver w/ the early-30's cousins forced to share a house. While the original cousins live separately near by. Maybe give Larry an older married w/ children daughter who also lives near by, while Balki has a suave college age son who drops by occasionally. Of course you gotta bring back Jennifer & Mary Ann.

I can't see a reboot of this show working in modern-day times. The show was so extremely time-specific...but then, so was Full House. I'm surprised that Full House stood the test of time.

Isn't a reboot when all the characters stay the same but the people playing them are different, and the production is new? (Like when they redo batman--same characters from before but new actors and storyline.) What "Full House" is doing is more a spin-off.

Anyways... more importantly, to your question: I don't know what made reruns of "Full House" so popular while other shows from the time have fallen by the wasteside. I think FH has an appeal to it because it features kids, and the new generation of kids watch. Now, they think DJ having her own kids for a new series is a good idea.

I feel like a modern day PS would be difficult because the times are different, and also, part or the appeal was the foreign cousin. However, I don't think they should do a true "reboot" either and have a different actor play Balki (or someone like him) in present day. Back then, it was trendy to have "different kinds" of people leaning to live in a home with others. I feel like the period now wouldn't have room for it.

Having room for a new FH is more because the living arrangement will still be relatable, and people do still want to see the kids as adults now. For people who'd be interested in a spin-off of PS, I feel like you'd have to get Pinchot and Mark to guest-star, but would they even want to?

I had the same thought when I heard about Fuller House. This show was the original star of the TGIF lineup.

My idea would be Robespierre, now in his early 20's decides to move to Mypos to learn about his family's culture. His cousin Tucker Appleton would decide to go with him. The two American boys both being "perfect strangers" to a foreign land.
