The Complete Series for 20 Bucks at Wal-Mart

I just saw it there yesterday, I'm thinking about picking it up and pawning the Kid Rhino releases.

They are terribly edited releases. I've already watched them. Yuck.

The 20 $ Walmart versions are terrible is what I meant.

Any difference that you know of between the $26 set at Wal-Mart and their $60 set? They have the same number of minutes, so I am assuming they are the same edits? The $60 set is a newer release as well...

It almost sounds like the Shout Factory version of the pilot is using the Super Sunday shorts that were aired before it became a full series. The SS shorts were only about 5 minutes in length, then when it became its own series the shorts were filled out with additional scenes to make 5 half hour episodes for the pilot.

In the very first episode when the Misfits meet Jerrica for the first time they break into the song "Outta My Way" without any talk before hand like when Pizzazz asks who Jerrica is or if Eric Raymond liked their new motorcycles and Jerrica says to remove the monstrosities from her fathers' office. Then when Jem and the Holograms sing "Only the Beginning" the music lasts for only a few seconds. On my version the entire music video is played which is identical to the ones you see on YouTube, which if you watch you should be able to see the difference in those and the DVD instantly. Now keep in mind I'm just naming a couple of changes to keep this message short. So the music is cut short and some scenes are missing entirely. Unfortunately it is also this way on the Netflix versions. Not to mention the DVD versions' colors are bad and the quality of the picture is blurry. YouTube quality is even better. Pathetic. Real fans will be disappointed. I know that I am.

The Rhino releases are INFINITELY superior in picture quality.

And since I've now learned that the Shout releases even delete some material, that makes it all the more reason to consider the Rhino releases to be definitive.

When I watch the series, I watch all the Rhino versions as far as they go, and only resort to the Shout box to cover the final episodes, which Rhino never got to.

Are the bonus features from the earlier Shout! version on the new Walmart version?
