Ba Nee's father is the Original G.I. Joe

[spoiler]I just watched the series finale of Jem, "A Father Should be..." written by Christy Marx and I know she wrote several episodes of G.I Joe. So from watching the episode, to me it appears that Ba Nee's father is the original G.I. Joe and it just happened that he suffered from amnesia after the Vietnam War so he doesn't have any recollection of his past military life. His look and facial appearance really kind of fits the bill, doesn't it? That could explain why in the G.I. Joe continuity, he's absent and doesn't really show up until years and years later. That brings up that idea of G.I. Joe, Transformers and Jem fitting into the same shared Hasbro universe, doesn't it?

Lastly, I know this bothered a few people but why would Jem and the other guardians at the Starlight House just willingly hand Ba Nee over to a perfect stranger to be driven off and abducted with no resistance? That was really weird. What kind of guardian is Jerrica/Jem anyways? I know she was confused but that seemed a little irresponsible, didn't it?[spoiler]
