Earlier episodes of Brush Strokes were better than the later episodes

I have always thought that the earlier episodes (featuring Lionel Bainbridge) of Brush Strokes were better than the later episodes, I thought a lot of the later episodes (which didn't feature Lionel Bainbridge) were silly and disappointing, Elmo's Wine Bar (I couldn't imagine Lionel or the first Lesley going for a drink in Elmo's Wine Bar) was an eyesore, much better when Elmo ran the local Pub (where Jacko and his friends drank), I have also always thought that the first Lesley (played by Kim Thomson) was a lot better than the second Lesley (played by Erika Hoffman), I have got the first 26 episodes (which featured Lionel Bainbridge) of Brush Strokes on DVD, but have no desire to buy the last 14 episodes (episodes 27 to 40) on DVD.
