Was Mrs Boswell/Nellie the only major charac never to be seen at the DSS

I can recall it was mentioned she once came in and banged the family tin of Baked Beans on the counter!

Obviously in the early day's - Joey, Billy and Adrian where the first to pop in (more so when Adrian was upsett being called by a number). After that I think it took until Series 5 for Jack to visit as did Freddie and Li Lo Lil in this Series ... then in the 1989 Xmas Special Aveline and Oswald made an appearance (when Aveline deliverd Martina's Xmas Card and gift). Grandad too made a visit too in Series 5.

Even after that (including Shifty's numerous vists from Series 4 onwards) Mr and Mrs Cullen made an appearance in the last Episode of Series 6 (being Heskoth's only credited appearance, though he had spoke in scenes before. It's also interesting but not suprising too though I think how Derek, Roxy, Carmen, Julie, Celia, Magdalana and Leonora never visited but Oswald did as Aveline's other-half.

Not forgetting though that Billy met Connie in the DSS off-screen! By coincidence further (an interesting fact or 2 more - on Martina's only visit to Kelsall Street Martina only met Celia and Adrian was the last character to visit the DSS in all the 7 Series' (which by another fact) was the only ever appearance of Martina in Series 7.

I'm sure she appeared at least once at the DSS.
Even Mongie turned up once, demanding money for his Dog food

I think you are possibly correct tgrrrsss, but in a scene where Mrs Boswell was not seen on TV.

I recall Martina saying once "and the Mother came in once to bang her family tin of Baked Beans on the counter", but I am sure it was never shown on TV.

You might be right there - I cracked up at the memory of that line, what was very funny was the time Grandad went in, it's a brilliant scene. Pamela Power is brilliant as Martina.
