Only Fools And Horses have their specials on G.O.L.D + Bread is as good

a comedy as Only Fools I think, but i'm interested as to why to the best of my knowledge that the Xmas Specials of 1988, 1989 and 1990 never have been shown.

I recall the Rome episode being advertised in a TV guide i thin about 9 years since, but it never appeared to be shown!

Why is this - I wonder that these specials have NEVER been shown, did G.O.L.D never buy the rights to them from the BBC/or would'nt the BBC sell them to G.O.L.D ... or is there another reason may-be?

I think on a slight side note, that the 1990 Special help's as an "in-between bridging episode" from the main 1990 Series to the 1991 Series - as we see Jack actualy living at Leonora's for the first time, being something that was "obvious" in the normal 1991 Series.

Also this help's - I think as to m, the last episode of 1990 was a very good one as was the whole 1990 Series ... as good as 1988 and both 1986's - even with the new Joey and Aveline, but the 1st episode of 1991 is easily possibly one episode out of a the whole 7 Series I am not keen on/and is possibly 1 of the only poor 1's ever. In the past i've not alway's liked the last Series but on reflection seeing it in full again last year, it was good bar the 1st episode I think.

Everyone can have their own opinion/thoughts I say and that is your opinion that OF&H is better than Bread which you are entilted to.

Though there is no need to start insulting it etc in a "Bread" Forum.

This is a "Bread" forum not a "Bread" fan club.
If all you want to hear is one sided "we love bread, oh gush, gush" comments, then I suggest you visit a web site set up to specifically pander to your needs.
These forums are for both sides of the coin.

I remeber watching the Rome episode about ten years ago on GOLD, but they have not shown any of them since which is a shame as I would love to see them again.

Julius Caesar: Infamy, infamy. They've all got it in for me.

Actually Bread was on GOLD quite recently. But it was early in the morning.

All seven series of Bread were recently repeated on Drama in the UK, but none of the Christmas specials were shown. A shame, because some of the plot just didn't make sense. Freddie went missing, but left a brief note. We never found out what the note said, because the Christmas special wasn't shown.
