Very fun, lots of set pieces and a decent mystery too

Yeah, it's pretty enjoyable. Mostly targeting the young adult/teenaged crowd but it's a solid story and well presented.

It’s excellent. Surprisingly good performances, nice period recreation, groundbreaking special effects and that dash of horror that Spielberg often added to his 80’s productions.

Also, Harry, Ron and Hermione are a total ripoff of Holmes, Watson and Elizabeth.

Yes. I think this was the 1st introduction I had to Sherlock Holmes as a kid. Just rewatched it and it's still as good as I remembered it.
