The Asian woman shown singing during the ending credits was the same woman singing during the restaurant massacre? Is it just me or was she killed during that shooting? What was Cimino trying to accomplish with the footage of her singing again (if she was killed earlier)? Note: I like the song.

Nothing except to make the credits stand out. There wasn't enough of her in the movie so he put an alternative angle of her singing it in the credits. I think the bullets bounced off the cymbals and the equipment. Even if she was killed I'd still put her there had it been up to me.
