What about Lethal Weapon and Die Hard influence on Kill Bill? You had a high body count in those films.

John Woo.

The showdown was imitated in many variations in Hongkong cinema action scenes.

And Woo more or less ripped-off "The Deer Hunter" for "Bullet in the Head".

Cimino was as big an influence on Woo as Jean-Pierre Melville,

but he's usually not mentioned at all.
