I doubt there are many people on these boards who have not heard of the film Threads. However, if you want more like When the Wind Blows, but even more bone chillingly scary, you must see this film. Check out the boards on iMDB.

Just bought When The Wind Blows about three days ago, but I did see Threads way back, a couple of years after it came out.
Another good one, if that is possible, is Testament with Jane Alexander, William Devane, Roxanne Zal and a young Kevin Costner in a minor role.
Threads and Testament are much butter than the Love Boatish "The Day After".
Funny thing was, as I watched When The Wind Blows, the first one that came to my mind was 1968's The Bed Sitting Room.
Hilarious movie.
