This movie had the same identical concept of 28 Days later. Except in 28 Days they were in England and the virus escaped the facility.
The theory was that rage infected the brain and people killed until they died. Also where and when did they say this first occurred. It has been a while since I have seen this movie, but I think they said it actually occurred in Germany in 1930.
WARNING: This post may contain *SPOILERS*. I'm sure "28 Days Later" did copy "Warning Sign" to a good degree; that particular piece of grossly overrated rubbish also slavishly imitated whole bits and pieces from such varied pics as "The Crazies," "The Omega Man," "The Quiet Earth," and especially "Day of the Dead" (the entire last third of the movie with the soldiers blatantly stole from "Day of the Dead," right down to the infected soldier!).

Woodyanders, you are so right, on all those movies. And not only did 28 Days Later rip off Day, but also Dawn to some degree. The Gas station scene, just like the helicopter gas station scene in Dawn, as well as the montage scene of everyone relishing the moment of being able to take whatever they want from the store, once again, just like Dawn. It is a shame that this film (28 Days Later) gets away with so much murder, but I look at the bright side, without it Romero wouldn't have gotten Land of the Dead made, so I guess that’s somewhat of a plus.

All I can say about Land of the Dead is that it's the only zombie movie I've ever seen where they try to make you feel sorry for the zombies. And I swear that I had that tank in my G.I. Joe collection when I was a kid.

This movie sucked. There were thirty minutes left in the movie when I realized not one interesting thing had happened.
shareAbsolutely! 28 Days Later and Resident Evil (and their sequels) definitely owe thanks to this movie for their fundemental concepts. I am watching it now and I could swear i'm watching a "prequel" to Resident Evil. The scene with the scientists dead on the floor in the beginning is almost identical to the start of Resident Evil. Funny, I thought those two later movies were so original, until I saw Warning Signs. Anyway, anyone who enjoyed the recent movies will get a kick out of this too!

I don't remember enough of "28 Days Later" (I really have to watch this movie another time). But I can say "Resident Evil" did - even if the produceurs are not aware about it !
share28 Days Later just stole from a whole bunch of other films, updated them and speeded things up. It was a pastiche of other films. The start was ripped right out of "Day of the Triffids"
As for this movie, I thought it was quite good up until a little over half way, then it just seemed to get sillier and sillier until the end. Still worth watching it you are interested in the scenario.
"28 Days Later" is fine movie and homage, but it reused too much ideas without adding anything new and the second half sucked. Anyway, together with "Resident Evil" they started the zombie mania, so it deserves acknowledgment.
The opening scene of "28 Days Later" is mix between the opening scenes of "The Quiet Earth" and "Day of the Triffids".
