apocalypse now similarity

hey did anyone think the scene in volunteers where they open up the new bridge and everyone starts celebrating with fireworks seem extremely similar to the scene in Apocalypse Now with the battle at the bridge? Well i did, and thought I was verry clever.

Actually, I think there are several instances of "cinema daja vu". Another one would be "Bridge on the River Kwai" (made obviously when Candy is walking on the bridge and the "Colonel Boogie March" is played), particularly Candy's line when he pushes the plunger to blow up the bridge.
