What was illegal about the slam Shute did on Lowden in the final match?

he didnt bring him to the mat with control which is the rule of thumb i believe

sharethere is alot of rules of thumb with this, and no. you do not have to be the first to hit the mat, you have to return them safely to the mat. ive seen alot of HS and college where they hit at the same time or before. the fact is if they hit before you, you have to be in control of there body and bring them to the mat with out causing blunt trauma from the hit to gain advantage.
