# 10 Otto tackling and affectionately rolling over on Forest whitaker.#9 The dogpile after the circle run and dive.# 7 Louden saying he's crazy about Tanneran.#6 Two guys on ONE motercycle never looks right.#5 The way Elmo puts his hand on his hip, you know thumb forward.#4 Kuch saying "last night I smoked a pipe." #3Louden saying he misses Kevin in 4K.#2 The way Louden was smiling when talking about a MAN grabbing his wad.#1 Otto's cut up sweatshirt in the opening wrestle off girly on the sleeves and so high up the stomach gayest undertone ever.

i agree that there are homosexual inuendos in this movie, but the dogpile after circle run is a wrestling tradition that every team does

the conversation when Louden was telling Carla he wishes a rich man would take care of him, and then Carla jokes about how the rich guy would hit him over the head and Louden would wake up with an A&*hole the size of the Lincoln Tunnel. nice imagery

#1 Otto's shirt - I guess you were never at a wrestling practice in the 80s That doesn't make everyone gay who practiced in a cutoff shirt

#2 Louden Smiling - I also tend to laugh or smile in uncomfortable moments. I imagine talking about some man grabing my package would be uncomfortable. I hope my wife doesn't find out that I might be gay.

#3 Louden missing Kevin - Don't you have any friends that you would feel comfortable enough to open up to?

#4 Kuch - ? Why is this gay? Other than senatics?

#5 Elmo standing - Gay because of how he stands?

#7 Louden and Tanneran - Definately reaching. Obviously Louden feels that tanneran gets him and fells a bond with his teacher. Didn't you have some teachers that you developed closer bonds to?

#9 The dogpile - This is a drill probably run by every wrestling team in the country at on point or another and it always ends the same way.

#10 Otto - I don't remember that scene

Seems like you are trying very hard to find something gay in this movie. Maybe you need to talk about that with a professional. Step on the mat sometime and tell me how gay it feels. Or better yet, find Dan Gable and tell him that wrestling has inherently gay overtones.

Did you notice right after the Shoe salesman grabs him in the hotel room, Louden has a pair of tennis shoes, slug over his shoulders as he rides away on the motorbike? Maybe, just the shoe salesman's way of saying thanks for excellent room service!

One thing that's funny about the Top Gun film comparison is that Matthew Modine (Louden), was offered Tom Cruises' role.

i've met gay people. they have less "gay" thoughts than most supposedly straight people. "vision quest" is a story about a kid attempting to make weight who falls in love for the first time. she loves him back, but doesn't want him to lose sight of his goal. that goal is to beat what's his name.
"top gun"? yeah, that film had much male posturing. that's just how some guys are. most men are very jocular. awe heck, what can you do?

This movie is amazing! My brother is a wrestler and my father was a great wrestling coach, I've been to several matches and tourments. and the dog pile every team does. Hell, even myh cheerleading squad does stupid stuff like that!

Love this movie!

I personally love the scene of the weigh in before the match with Shoot. Louden comes up heavy and has to take off his 6 ounce tight whitey's to make weight. Whats funny though is when he's done, he steps off the scale and just stares and smiles at Shoot for like a full 30 seconds with his teammates draped all over him. The whole time he is butt naked, fully exposing himself to Shoot and just standing there staring at him with a smile. Almost as if to say, "come get some". Its like the director forgot he was supposed to be naked when he filmed that final part of the scene.

J.C. Quinn as Elmo the cook was awesome and not gay. Notthattheresanythingwrongwiththat.

Wrestling is a contact sport. I guess that automatically makes it homoerotic.
