Yes, this is not a great film and has many stupid moments. But I am struggling to work out why Bond decided to climb on the outside of the fire engine?! I can't work out why the hell he wanted to do that! It's just stupid.

Is anyone able to cast any light on this?

Did he try and secure the ladder? I was only half watching it, but wasn't the ladder going to be dangerous because it was flying around, so he went outside to sort it out?

He was trying to reach the steering wheel in the back of the truck, to drive the rear wheels in such a way the cops were kept at bay.
