Ally Sheedy's hair

It was so bad. Even when I watched this the first time around, I found it hard to believe that 2 guys would be vying for her with that helmet-head. The worst part is most of my life people have said I look like her (although I hope they mean in Breakfast Club not St. Elmo's Fire!)

Agreed. However, it looks incredible when wet. :)

Pretty sure that is the Princess Diana haircut. Considering the year this movie came out....it was very popular.

reply

Oh and adding. How SHALLOW are you to think guys are vying over her for her hair!

reply

That was the hair cut that Peggy Fleming made big in the 80's. It was the 80's version of "The Rachel" that Jennifer Aniston made popular in the 90's.

It wasn't Peggy Fleming it was Dorothy Hamill, and I don't think Alison's hair was supposed to be that either. She was just very conservative and preppy.

Totally agree with ya on that helmet head hair. I always hated her hair and couldn't understand why two men were vying or her. Jules, of course was the sexiest and Mare was very unattractive, but the helmet of Leslie was awful.

She was so cute in Wargames then went progressively more dykey and unappealing as the 80's progressed.

So true, from perfect girlfriend to frump in a few years.

Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.

reply

Not only did she have that horrible haircut, but her outfits were hideous as well.

reply

Ally Sheedy was the most beautiful woman in this film, and I'd feel the same if she were bald here.

reply

Yes she was hot but the hair was still brutal. Bad bad hair.

Sorry Brother.
