If they Ever remade this...

If they ever remade this film....which will most likely never happen (Although in todays world of remaking movies and tv shows from the 70's and 80's era it may happen). I could see two people being cast and I know I am going to be significantly bashed for this. I caught the movie on HBO tonight and I thought to myself that Ryan Reynolds could play the part of Chevy Chase it came to me during the seen where Donna Dixon's charachter Karen is asking him to perform the surgery. Also Jason Biggs could play Dan Aykroyds Charachter. I know I am probably wrong but I could just see it happening and I think that those two would be decent choices. (They would pale in comparison to Dan & Chevy and in no way could they hold a candle to their comedic acting) But I think that they would be good choices.

I think Biggs is spot-on, but I could see Jason Lee in Chase's part as well.

My god...
I love this movie but remake it?
Why would you even talk about that? As if they don't re-make enough tv shows and old movies now already.
I think I might actually take my own life if they remake this.

Neither Will nor Jimmy is anywhere close to either Akroyd or Chase. Any such intimation is a blasphemy to everything that is, was and ever will be comedy.

Well, Imma old man, I guess, but I have to say this movie works so well because it deals with paranoia regarding the cold war. A remake just wouldn't work because this is something that historically gripped the nation for a whole decade. The battle of superpowers. Frankly, there is only one real superpower left, unless you remake this and toss in a North Korea or China angle. North Korea is not much of a super power. More like a nut with a weapon. The great part of Spies Like Us is it humanizes both sides.

the original characters only if there were a sequal. my #1 seq request that didnt and will never happen.

chase/aykroyd were legends in their time
