continuity goof

hey i was just watching 'spies like us' and i wondered one thing. Aykroyd and Chase attack the russians at night, pretending to be aliens, and then launch the rocket....then they calculate that the world will be destroyed in about 42 minutes, so they all run off to have sex... in the next scene Aykroyd is lying in his tent and stumbles across the solution to reverse the rocket...so he jumps out of the tent and it is obviously daytime....did i miss something or did the makers of the movie? coz it seems too bright to even be just morning break. So how did it go from night to day in less than 42 minutes?

I think the mission time is given somewhere in there; very early in the AM, say around 4 or 5. Sunrise could occur in that part of the world around then.

BUT, the BIG mistake was having it be daylight at WOMP HQ in the southwestern US when the mirrors & laser are activated. That would've been impossible.

well, it could have been like 6AM in Tajik and 6PM on the West Coast of the U.S., the time zone math works I think.
