It's not only a funny movie, for me it's definately one of the funniest movies ever made and extremely underrated. I think I've seen it about 15 times and I never get bored of it. My two favorite scenes are when they're simply falling off the building in the airplane and the test-scene with Frank Oz.

"Never in my wildest imagination did I ever dream I would have sons like these."

I love Chevy's evasion of questioning early in the movie.
"Are there any Paraguayans here? No? Well of course, their request for subsidies was not, uh, Paraguayan as, as in, as it were. The government would never, if the president, our president uh, and that's the way it'll always be. Is that clear?"

After granade falls in Chase's lap, he picks it up and shows it to Ackroyd.

"What's this?"

"YOU DON'T WANT IT!"

"It's a trap!"
- Admiral Ackbar

I always loved Chevy Chase's diplomacy techniques against the ninja's.

"stop right there, and I will bring back the sun"

holding up a pic in his wallet
"This is my sister, you can all have her. I hear she is very good"

One of my most favorite parts is when they are using the pay phone in Pakistan. I think its Pakistan anyway. They dial collect, to the WAMP command center.. that whole scene is hilarious! " Mr. Ruby.. its a collect call from Pakistan.. a Mr Fitzhume... -spits coffee out-.... What?!?!?!?!" Fitzhume -while a bit raged- " Get us the hell out of here!!!!!!!!"

reply

That scene was funny. Especially when it was asked, "They told you this over a public phone?" "No, sir. The AT&T operator told our operator." Very funny movie.

yes I agree this is one of those movies you can watch over and over again and it never gets old, another funny thing is the fact that the Russians guarding the nuke listen to soul finger over and over and over and over and over and over....

reply

Agreed!

"For every wrong answer, I cut off a finger."

"Mine or yours?"

That has to be one of the funniest lines in a movie, ever.

...and that is all. Disappointing, isn't it?

reply

I agree that this comedy about being spies is nice. This movie is really funny. I've enjoyed watching it.
