33 19 17

What does it say?

I looked for it but couldnt find it

reply

could be the book Wisdom of Solomon, which is the 33rd of the new testament.
Wis 19, verse 17 goes as follows:
Therefore even with blindness were these stricken, as those were at the doors of the righteous man: when, being compassed about with horrible great darkness, every one sought the passage of his own doors.

Kind of make sense, don't you think.

reply

That very well could be it.

Thanks a lot.

no its ...

the 33rd section of Judges, Chapter 19, verse 17 says: “And the old man lifted up his eyes and saw the wayfarer in the street of the city; and the old man said to him, Where are you going? And Whence do you come?"

The story in the Judges account goes on to tell the story of the 'wayfarer' going to the 'old man's' house. While there, evil men come to the door and demand the traveller come out so they can have sex with him. The 'Old Man' comes out and offers his virgin daughter instead. They villagers aren't satisfied until the 'wayfarer' sends his concubine out. The girl is raped and killed. The next morning the 'wayfarer' cuts up the girl and sends parts of her to the 12 tribes of Israel as a warning or 'wake up call' to the evil that is going on.

Yeah, plus the weird thing is is that it adds up to 69.

That's pleasant freakin' story there Jeremy. The bible I respect but some times it's too damn weird. The bible has a habit of repeating the same story twice, in different chapters. The story of Lot, and the cities of Babylon & Gomorrah are almost bascially the same as the "wayfarer" story. Angels came to Lots house but he didn't know who they were. The wicked mob in the city came to Lot's house and demanded that the strangers be turned over. Lot instead offered them his two virgin daughters which only angered them further. They proceeded to try to storm the household & take the strangers by force but this story has a way happier ending. The Angels blinded the mob and Lot and his family had to flee because God said he was going to rain down fire and brimstone on the city. Like I said, it's the "wayfarer" story almost to a "t" but not EXACTLY the same but the bible is noted for that.
