is there a scene in this film were laura dern is outside painting the house....or am i getting it confused with a different film. thanks!!

I think there is, or either scraping the house to be painted. She & her mother are doing it together, or maybe its one or the other of them alone?

thanks for the reply. i watched it on t.v (in england) about 20 yrs ago but its never been back on since. i would love to watch it again, but cant find it anywhere. thanks!!!

Yes, there is (just watched it last night for the first time). It's funny the random parts we remember from movies long after we see them!
