Paden's Loan Pistol

What kind of Pistol does Paden have near the beginning when he spots the guy with his horse? It had a swing out cylinder? Any one know what kind it was?

reply

Colt 45 Peacemaker. Six shooter revolver.

reply

Emphatically NOT a Colt Peacemaker- grip shape totally wrong. Might have been a Colt model 1877 Double Action; I'd have to go back and take a closer look. But trust me on this... it's not a Colt Single Action Army.

reply

Paden uses a Webley No.5

The gun has an Adams patent ejector instead of the standard fixed rod.

As long as the firing pin can hit the primer it can fire. Think of a zip gun.

Ok, so no one really knows what it was, then?

reply

Yes, everyone who read MSUwino's post from September 25th of 2009 or checked the IMFDB knows that Paden's weapon was a Webley No. 5 with an Adams patent ejector.

reply

Hey folks,

Yep, like they said, it was a Webley #5.

Best wishes,

When the cylinder falls out the axle Or cylinder rod is clearly all the way forward. to reassemble, one would place the cylinder in position, hold it in place, and drive the rod all the way back into place. the rod is bent, blacked, like it is corroded. All around poor specimen.
