I must say it still holds up pretty well.

The Aurora Borealis effects are still pretty good.

And I love the small reindeer story line incorporated into it. Love me some Donder and Blitzen.

And it incorporates some nice tradition like the letters going up the chimney.

How the Naughty and Nice list came to be.

How he gets in and out of the houses, chimney or not.

Even Clement Moore's poem.

I could do without the original songs.

But on the whole it has really held up well.

There are parts that have that "translated" sound like it was a foreign film. It is a UK/US production but parts were filmed in Norway, so that may be where it comes from.

I think the passing years have been kind to this film. It was really nice seeing Burgess Meredith again.

It does and I enjoy the music. I saw this in theaters when it came out when I was 10. I have loved it and my kids too have enjoyed it.

I love the history of how things happen and were created with Santa. It's really cool.

It holds up if you like it, I have watched it about 3 or 4 times and each time I'm hoping I'll like it more but I still think it's really not a very good movie. It's really disappointing. The North Pole looks great, I love all the wood architecture and it's very colorful but the movie falls flat for me. Kind of a dumb plot.

Except for the nonsensical scene at the end where they save Patch, I like the rest of the movie.
