"You're willing to lose everything"

At one point, when Rocky tells Adrian that he will fight Ivan, Adrian said "you're willing to lose everything?". Rocky responded "Not everything. This house, cars and all stuff, but not everything".

What were they talking about? It was a non-title match and money wasn't involved. Why would Rocky lose all of his stuff even if he lost badly?

Because Drago just killed Apollo. She means Rocky could end up dead or living in a wheel chair eating green jello for the rest of his life if he subjected himself to a similar beating.

He lost everything in Rocky V because Paulie gave a power of attorney to a lawyer who made a bunch of bad investments. Rocky becoming poor in Rocky V has nothing to do with Ivan.

In a way it did. Rocky's brain damage from Drago made him unable to fight again(per Rocky V).

Even if he never fought again he still wouldn't lose all of his stuff like he said he would. His house, cars and stuff were paid off - why would he lose it no matter what happens in the fight with Ivan?

Even if he lost to drago he'd still maintained the fight within him, dignity having had AT LEAST stood up and fought murderer and bully drago. Materials can leave and are worthless. Self pride, integrity, dignity and inner strength, he maintained. If he didn't fight drago, he would have lost what's really important in life. That's my take on it anyway.
