I was beyond appalled at how many it won and was nominated for. There had to have been way worse movies than this. Rocky IV is a classic.

I can understand why someone would hate the movie. It's honestly cheesy propaganda.

I gave it a 7/10 though. The movie has a great soundtrack and I think Drago is such a great heel. Even though they did do a lot of silly things in the movie I think it all fitted and I enjoyed it.

Plus what the hell was up with the robot? What was Stallone thinking?

Yeah there's some VERY cheesy stuff but I love the montages, Stallone, and Drago too much to understand the dislike. Plus the America *beep* Yeah plot is pretty badass to put it in technical terms.

I don't think they were meant to be serious, as in Rocky IV was literally the worst movie. They must've just been lampooning the most successful movies since there were far, far worse movies that came out that year other than Rocky IV.

Just seen this thread. I am currently listening to the soundtrack and was shocked an appalled to discover Vince DiCola got the Raspberry for the sountrack.
I think his work here is superb, especially the Training Montage track.

Probably because peopledon't like to expand, as in the music wasn't done by the other 3 films' original composer, Bill Conti so they said NOOO!

Frankly ive gotten to the point where i think the Razzies are useless as the Oscars. Hell the razzies named stallone the worst actor of the 20th Century. That how much credibility they have. Is this movie propaganda, sure. But it some of the most entertaining propaganda ever made. It sure as hell beats watching Triumph of the Will or Birth of a Nation.

But whatever, Rocky IV is entertaining as hell, and has high replay value.

I don't know what Sly must have done to the editor/founder of the razzies, because the organization seems to have a particular, almost vindictive beef with him. They named him worst actor of the century, or something like that. Not even close.

And 30 years later Stallone still comes out on top with a Golden Globe nod for playing his iconic character.

Who even cares about the Razzies? Why would anyone pay attention to something like that? What do those people achieve? Like it takes talent and skill to declare a movie or an actor to be "the worst".

Rocky IV was a wonderful crowd-pleasing over the top 80s epic. The fans loved it and it made bank. *beep* what any dickhead critic thinks.
