I saw Rocky IV in theaters in 1985, am old lol, my question is why would they give the ending of the movie away with the poster image of Rocky being held up by Duke and Paulie with the flag wrapped around Rocky? They could have went with an image of Rocky and Drago fighting in the ring, but they went with the ending image, I wonder why?
shareProbably for a couple of reasons.
1 It is a visually striking image, America hero etc, your not likely to forget
2 They might have been trying to keep his opponents look a secret (I think the first trailer just had a voice over from Dolph and a shadow of him?)
3 The image could have come from any point in the film, such as the opening title sequence
4 It's a Rocky film, he always ends up winning so there was not much to give away
